A new chapter

Posted on 10 October 2026 by Quentin Toulemonde

After nearly four years and 69 posts on The FT Explained, I am moving my writing to a new home.

Starting this month, I will publish Asymétries, a newsletter in French, on Substack. Its common thread: the asymmetries reshaping the economy, finance and companies – between those who know and those who don’t, those who take risks and those who end up carrying them – and what they mean for the people running businesses.

Why French? It is my native language, and the one I think in most precisely.

Why a newsletter? Because I would rather write for readers who chose to receive it, and hear back from them.

This blog stays online as an archive. If you read French, I would be delighted to see you there: Asymétries.

Thank you for reading, sharing and challenging these posts over the years.

Quentin
